A master study of Berthe Morisot's 1876 floral painting 'Dahlias'. I was inspired by the warmth & softness of her painting, and wanted to honor the richness of her work while nodding to my own stylistically. I loosed & soften it up, but kept the romantic feeling of her original work.
A perfect year round floral – moody for fall & winter, with bright warmth for summer + spring.
Dahlias are the birth flower for August & November. They symbolize devotion, elegance, and everlasting commitment.
